Winner of Tea Masters Cup Spain 2019 and, therefore, contestant in the International Final of the Tea Masters Cup 2020. Pilar works for an independent Taiwanese tea company who are small scale tea farmers and producers of oolong tea. She also works for the UK Tea Academy as part of their core team in London and is currently working on the launch of the UK Tea Academy’s certified tea courses in Spain as a UKTA certified tutor. Previous to this she has worked for a diverse range of European tea companies, including a large tea importer, a renowned British tea retailer, a speciality Chinese tea shop and a long standing speciality tearoom chain in London. Pilar has a BA (Hons) degree in Economics and is a certified tea sommelier having trained with both UK Tea Academy (London) and El Club del Té (Argentina). She is actively involved in The European Tea Society and gave a presentation on Pu-erh tea at the first Spanish Tea Festival in Madrid, Spain.
